Strategic Partnerships & Community Outreach

Eastern Washington businesses and nonprofit organizations come together every year to launch and participate in the annual Barrel Full of Money fundraising campaign, benefiting the programs of the Blue Mountain Action Council (BMAC). The generous efforts of participating businesses over this six-week long campaign culminates with the highly anticipated Community Celebration Event (with catered reception and wine auction).

Since its inception in 2011, the Barrel Full of Money campaign has raised over $500,000 for local families. The funds directly support BMAC's mission to provide vital services to residents of Southeast Washington, including food, housing, and job training.

    Collaboration betwean Washington State University Tri‑Cities and Valdemar Family Wine Estates to explore educational opportunities for international collaboration in the field of wine science.

  • The Gates Foundation

    Collaboration between UCLA School of Film & Television and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (now the Gates Foundation), in 2010 to produce student short films around education in the U.S.

  • Mattel

    The Barbie Film Festival, inviting UCLA undergraduate and graduate students to write, film and edit two-minute films. The only requirement was that the entire filming had to be done on the Barbie Video Girl camera. 

  • Swarovski

    While working at UCLA I established corporate and community relationships for Event Collaboration and Sponsorship with industry outlets Comcast NBC Universal, Panavision, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and HBO, and premium retail brands, including Swarovski.
